Around the World in 80 Ways
80 fun things to do with little travellers on long trips
A person can only play “I Spy” so many times without wanting to use the ejector seat. Thank God this book came along with a few more interesting suggestions for keeping children entertained on long journeys.
These 80 ideas include travel games, brain-teasers and conversation starters that will engage and entertain children in a way that enriches their journey.
But there’s a catch. The ideas in this book do not include giving the kids a packet of crayons and nodding off while they draw on the seat in front of them. Nor does the book anywhere recommend portable video games or any other distraction that will allow you to finish off your Sookie Stackhouse novel in peace.
Parental involvement is an integral part of the philosophy behind the book. Nothing too strenuous mind you - it describes ways in which families can have fun together through talking, exploring, and some fairly undemanding playing, to help each other enjoy the journey.
Around the World in 80 Ways is brought to you by Itchee Feet – a company that specialises in finding ways to make travel with children easier. This cute video will tell you more:
Itchee Feet will also be releasing more videos, apps and destination guides for children to help them with the process of long-haul travelling.
